Markus Weingartner joined Intel in 2000 as a technical marketing engineer, advising software companies on getting the most out of new processor architectures. Two years later he moved into communications and stayed.

Over the next fifteen years he worked on product and technology communications, international media relations and the company's global flagship events. He spent six months at headquarters in California, directing Intel's global manufacturing communications.

From 2017 he was EMEA Communications Director, with full budget and personnel responsibility. In 2023 he was tasked with building corporate and employee communications for EMEA around the European investment program, a function the region had not had before.

For almost two decades he spoke for the company to the technology press, and in later years also to international business and news media, and on television.

In 2025 Markus Weingartner was promoted to Intel's executive level.

How he works

Markus Weingartner leads each engagement himself and brings in partners where a project needs hands on the ground. He can work alongside a client's own team and existing agencies, or on his own.

His engineering background lets him talk to engineers and technology leads in their own language. Twenty-four years inside a global company have taught him how decisions are actually made in large organizations, and who needs to be on board before anything goes public.

At Intel his work took him through most of Europe and the wider EMEA region, and well beyond it, from headquarters in California to press programs in China. Weingartner Advisory keeps working that way, on site wherever a project needs it.
